Gaps in the current rules

  • Whether the design library depicts a multi-level breadcrumb trail was not verified this session. Figma access requires authentication that was not available. Source only confirms a single-link component with no trail-composition support (no separator, no list, no nav landmark). If the design library does show a multi-level trail, that would be a real divergence worth its own entry — this page does not assert one without seeing it.
  • The default includeBrowserRouter={true} risks a nested-Router crash in any app that already has its own Router. This is inferred from React Router’s own well-documented behavior (a second Router inside an already-routed tree throws) plus the component’s own test file, which sidesteps the default in its second test rather than exercising it directly. No test in the component’s own suite renders the default behavior inside an existing Router to confirm the crash happens exactly as expected.
  • Styling bypasses the semantic token layer entirely. Breadcrumb reads theme.palette and a raw typographySpecs object directly rather than theme.vars.tokens[...]. Whether this is a deliberate legacy exception or simply unmigrated code was not determined — nothing in the file or its tests states an intent either way.
